In the movie, Sonny Hayes, played by the talented Brad Pitt, is a retired F1 driver from the 1990s. After a horrific crash forced him to leave F1 and explore other racing disciplines, he gets a call from an old friend and team owner, Ruben (Javier Bardem). Hayes is asked to come out of retirement to mentor the rookie prodigy Joshua Pearce, portrayed by Damson Idris, for the Apex Grand Prix team. Together, they aim to make a mark on the F1 circuit once again.
